2026 Homecoming Queen Spotlight: Jaimee Smart
Columbus High School officially announces their 2026 Homecoming Queen, Jaimee Smartt! Jaimee utterly embodies CHS core values both in and outside of the classroom.

During her four years at CHS Jaimee has built a strong and mutually supportive community that lifts her up at every turn. Throughout her time at CHS, Jaimee has been involved in Art Club, National English Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, and Beta Club. During her free time she likes to partake in hobbies such as dancing, painting, and thrift shopping, showcasing her diverse interests.
When being asked about her initial reaction to winning the title of Homecoming Queen, Jaimee expressed how unreal it felt to her at the moment.
“When I heard my name being called for homecoming queen, I honestly believed that she was just repeating names,” she chuckled. “I had to make sure I was smiling not laughing, but overall it was truly a blessing and I’m grateful for my friends and supporters at CHS.”
One of her favorite memories during homecoming week was spending the morning together with Hoco Court in the process creating a stronger bond with each other. Getting the opportunity to walk out during the homecoming prep rally with one of her biggest supporters “Jaylen Shaw” made this entire event more memorable and less nerve racking for her.

Ultimately, Jaimee plans to attend Tuskegee University and pursue a career in wildlife veterinary science and conservation. As she begins this next chapter of her life,Jaimee hopes to carry the same passion and determination that made her high school experience unforgettable.
