Are you ready to join Camp Half-Blood? CHS Full House Productions is excited for audiences to witness The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical on March 19th, 20th, 21st, and 23rd at 7 PM in the CHS Auditorium with tickets available for purchase on BookTix!

According to cast members, the rehearsal process has been defined by complex choreography, moving sets, and even custom-built puppets!

“I think the technical aspects like the puppets and the fight choreography have been interesting because we are bringing something different compared to the past years,” said Miley Le (12), who stars as Annabeth Chase.

CJ Ball (12) agreed, noting that the show's unique elements have been a highlight for the cast. "Percy Jackson has monsters and other elements to it which is honestly really fun to bring to the stage. I am most excited for the audience to see all the fight scenes because, personally, I think they're fun to watch!"

The production also features a dynamic environment that changes as quickly as the story. Charles Michael Secretan (11), who plays Grover, highlighted the innovative staging. “Honestly the most interesting part of rehearsal is the set! We have never had a moving set like this before for a musical and it is fun to rearrange it for a scene.”

Beyond the set design, Secretan is eager for the public to see the group numbers choreographed by Yuzu Tansho (12).

For some cast members, the magic happens in the smaller, personal moments. Emily Secretan (12), who plays Silena Beauregard, believes the bond between the actors is what makes the show work. “The most interesting part of the rehearsal process has been the little side quests we go on and just getting to know one another,” she said. “It's very important for this show specifically that we are really bonded.”

Fans of the original story can also look forward to specific musical highlights. Both Emily Secretan (12)  and Cale Gore (11) pointed to the song “Another Terrible Day” as a must-see moment.

Cale Gore (11), who plays Dionysus (“Mr. D”), has been enjoying the perks of his role. “I get a megaphone, that's really fun! I also got a little holster for soda cans,” Gore said, adding that he is particularly excited for the audience to see the performance by Charles Michael Secretan.

Student tickets cost $10 dollars and Adult tickets cost $15. Don't miss your chance to witness this extraordinary cast!
