Do you enjoy reading a good book, and looking for a community who shares that same passion? Then the CHS Book Club might be the place for you to get involved.
The CHS Book Club meets once a month in the CHS library after school. Here, students who love to sit down and read a good book get to engage with other students who share the same interest.
Each month, every member of the club votes on one book, based on suggestions, that the entire club will read that month. At the end of the month, the club gathers to discuss their thoughts; as well as, participate in a related activity.
“My favorite part of the club is hanging out with great people and talking about books,” said Allison Wharton (11).
The Book Club welcomes anyone and everyone who wants to get involved in reading. They even welcome students who just want to join a loving community!
The club averages about 20 people each meeting, and is always hoping to expand.
Wharton (11) who has been a part of the Book Club since her sophomore year says, “I joined because they were doing a meeting on a book I loved and I wanted to go talk about it.”
