The CHS Crochet and Knitting Club, now 3 years old, is still going as strong as ever. With meetings now every Tuesday from 4:00-4:30, the club remains an open space for all students and teachers regardless of skill level.
Club president, A.J. Shearer (12), wants the Crochet and Knitting Club
“to encourage learning and communicating tips and skills with each other.”
“We are also open to teachers! In our club, we are currently helping two teachers in their crochet journey," says Shearer.
Additionally, the club plans on continuing with service projects to help give back to communities with their upcoming project focusing on working with Knit-A-Square, which is a nonprofit organization based in South Africa.
Recently, the club has received a large donation of materials that can be used for new people who come to the club.
The Crochet and Knitting Club is open to anybody with an interest and is actively accepting new members (teachers as well!) throughout the school year regardless of experience.
