By: Macayla Henderson

There are many new teachers here at Columbus High School this 2023-24 school year, and Mr. William Brown is one of them! He is teaching AP World History and Ethnic Studies this year.

Past high schools that he has worked at are Macon County High School and Hawkinsville High School.

During Mr. Brown's seven years of teaching, he has taught a multitude of social studies subjects.

“World History, American History, Economics, American Government, World Geography, and Street Law,” Brown remarks.

He is a family man with a wife named Lauren and a daughter named Isabella. Some of his hobbies include hiking, fishing, golfing, and kayaking. He loves the great outdoors!

Mr. Brown is currently working on his doctorate and is writing his dissertation.

“I do love history, and it's a subject that I do enjoy engaging in,” he states.

Brown has talked about the culture and environment of CHS, and how he thoroughly enjoys it.

“My time at Columbus High has been absolutely wonderful, love every second of it, and I mean that" he asserts.

Brown cannot wait to see what the future holds for him at Columbus High. He likes all of his classes and says that his students teach him something new everyday.
