As the school year kicks into full swing, several clubs are starting back up—but two in particular, UNICEF Unite and HOSA, have decided to make a big change. This year, they’re merging into one club: UNICEF/HOSA.

UNICEF Unite, as a standalone club, focused on raising awareness about issues affecting children around the world. They also supported local children through various fundraising events and donation drives.

HOSA – Future Health Professionals of America, had a similar mission. The club worked to raise funds for hospitals and brought attention to important health-related causes.

Roohe Khan (12), former president of UNICEF Unite and now one of the co-presidents of UNICEF/HOSA, shared, “We had similar goals in mind, and we wanted to combine our impact!”

Together, UNICEF/HOSA aims to make an even greater difference in the community. Their first event of the year will be a Spirit Night at Chipotle on Saturday, September 20th, from 4 to 8 PM.
