Home Sweet Homecoming at CHS

From October 3-7, students at Columbus High School participated in daily dress-up events in preparation for Homecoming.


The Homecoming Game was Friday, October 7th against Dougherty High School at Kinnett Stadium. The Homecoming Dance was Saturday, October 9th in the Fountain Courtyard.



Monday -- Character Day

Sophomores Skye Dawson, Jamauri Brown, and Jordin Word dressed up as Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Juniors Kayla Molina and Carlos Bellavista-Pacheco came dressed as Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Luis Rosario (12) dawned an Arthur costume from the popular animated series.

Tuesday -- Cowboys vs. Pirates

Freshmen CJ Ball and Shey Soutter wave their pirate flag high for Cowboys vs. Pirates Day.








Wednesday -- Generation Day

Freshmen Maddie Secoy, Amelia Huff, Bryanna Duarte, Riley Hedges, Myra Tull, Rylee Hughes, and Stella Hunt with onesies and pacifiers to dress as babies.

Seniors Kade Arencibia and Lyssa Harris dressed as the elderly for Generation Day.









Thursday -- Favorite Artist

Ms. Mills dawned gold jewelry and a fur coat for her Yung Gravy costume.

Carson Tomlinson (11) dressed as Doja Cat in her MOOO! music video.












Friday -- Class Colors; Homecoming Pep Rally

Members of the marching band walked in the Homecoming Parade before playing during the pep rally.

The 2022 Homecoming Court was escorted into the gym by the CHS football team.

CHS's competition cheer team greeted the seniors and freshmen before performing their routine.

The boys of CHS's football huddled together in the middle of the gym while members of the Blue Brigade waved their flags and cheered them on.
