Unicef Unite is one of many clubs that students can participate in here at Columbus High School.
“Unicef Unite is an organization across the globe that focuses on helping children in underprivileged circumstances” says Roohe Khan (11), president and founder of the Unicef Unite chapter at CHS.
As a member of Unicef Unite students are able to partake in fundraising events and educational sessions about the causes that they are fundraising for.
Nichole Alaba (11), Vice President of Unicef Unite says that the club is important because “not only are we doing this for the betterment of the community but also we are impacting young lives and that is so important for the future!”
Last year Unicef Unite did fundraisers and events like Teddy Bear Grams, Valentine’s Day Grams, and making cards for children at Piedmont Regional.
“This school year I am definitely excited for all the fundraisers we are going to have, we are going to have lots of goodies to give out and sell,” says Alaba.
