The 'Spook-tacular' Tradition Lives On: Halloween Costume Contest

On Monday, October 31st, CHS held their Costume Contest, an annual tradition for the senior class. Here are the winners for this year:


Individual








First place went to Naomi Passmore, who dressed as a Knight Who Says "Ni!" from the 1975 film Monthy Python and the Holy Grail.




















Rosie Owens dressed as Levi Ackerman from the anime series Attack on Titan, winning second place.



















Third place went to Hunter Reneker, who dressed as Thomas Shelby from the British period drama, Peaky Blinders.














Duo










First place went to Caitlin Magennis and Madison Witzke, who dressed as "Jammin Jellyfish."


















Ellis Nobes and Natalie Garret dressed as Clank and Bobble from the Tinkerbell franchise, earning them second place.

















Third place went to Alyssa Achtzgier and Rosemary Gross, who went as a "before" and "after" version of Mia Thermopolis from The Princess Diaries.














Small Group (3 to 4 Students)









Grey Layfield, James Swinehart, and Lucy Kelley came dressed as characters from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, winning first place for their costumes.




















Jules Gibson, Nicole Glenn, and Chloe Maguire won second place for their The Three Stooges costumes.


















Charlotte Jolley, Yena Barna, and Krista Cooley dressed as the iconic Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus and won third place.












Medium Group (5 to 9 Students)









Elise Jones, Maddy Taylor, Max Hines, Emily Jones, Savannah Thompson, and Olivia Jones won first place for their take on "Adam Sandler movies."















Michael Marola, Harris Fox, Kearston Blackwell, Grace Williams, Riya Ben, and Lauren Baker dressed as "different queens": Dairy Queen, Lightning McQueen, a queen bee, and more. The group won second place for their creative costumes.
















Geo Piett, Nnonye Marcus, Jeleina Jimenez, Samira Sirleaf, Keziah Amissah, and Jirah Perrymond dressed as Howie Mendel and the briefcase girls from Deal or No Deal, winning third place.










Large Group (10 to 17 Students)


"Miss America" won first place, with its members dressing as different American states.
